STUDIOK1 is the lighting design studio within KONSORTUM1 - one of the largest electrical engineering firms in Southern California, and a company that has been thriving and growing since 1996.

KONSORTUM1 has historically provided a unique level of lighting design excellence for an engineering firm, but with STUDIOK1, we have expanded our lighting design capabilities even further and provide a level of design quality and service second to none.

STUDIOK1 has brought together a team of award-winning lighting designers with experience in all facets of lighting design and all project types, including hotels, resorts, restaurants and casinos; cultural centers and museums; libraries; institutional and educational facilities; commercial and mixed-use developments; corporate offices; retail; municipal and civic facilities; and themed environments. STUDIOK1 is capable of providing lighting design services through all phases of a project from concept through opening, and can provide distinctive lighting solutions for projects ranging from intimate and elegant interiors to full cityscapes.

Although STUDIOK1 is structured to function as a dedicated and independent design group, it is supported by the infrastructure of a robust fifty-person firm.  As much as STUDIOK1 is designed to provide lighting design services independent of KONSORTUM1, working in concert, the two firms can provide exceptional value to a project.

STUDIOK1 and KONSORTUM1 are proud to be members of the US Green Building Council.  Our senior designers are LEED Accredited Professionals and are Lighting Certified.  We are also members of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, the International Association of Lighting Designers, and the American Institute of Architects.
