Lighting Designer

Russell has been working with light for over five years.

At KONSORTUM1, Russell has worked on and produced lighting designs and computer renderings for numerous award-winning projects, including the Engineering Unit III at the UC Irvine campus, the Southwest College Cox Building in Los Angeles, CA., and the VA Hospital Spinal Cord Injury Unit in San Diego, CA. Russell has also produced lighting plans for various retail, commercial, and landscape lighting projects. He has participated in the design of exterior retail plazas for Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA. and the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, CA., as well as the landscape renovation at Hoag Hospital in Irvine, CA.

Russell has also extended KONSORTUM1‘s capabilities through the use of BIM modeling. His most recent contribution includes the production of electrical BIM models for the ELAC Student Center at East Los Angeles College and the Student Recreation Center at Cal State Northridge. His work with 3D modeling and rendering calculations allows STUDIOK1 to remain on the forefront of technology and innovation in lighting design applications. He has produced electrical BIM models for the SCC Humanities Building at South Coast College and the Student Recreation Center at Cal State Northridge.  His work with 3D modeling and rendering calculations allows STUDIOK1 to remain on the forefront of technology and innovation in lighting design applications.

Russell is involved in all phases of construction document preparation including initial field surveys, schematic presentations, photometric calculations, computerized renderings, custom fixture design, and construction documents.
