Lighting Designer

The newest member of STUDIOK1, Kaitlin has been working with light for over seven years. 

Starting at a young age with an interest in theatrical lighting, she graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Technical Theatre, emphasizing in Lighting Design.  In college she also assisted with special event lighting, supporting weddings, corporate parties, and other social functions.

After graduating, Kaitlin shifted her career from theatre into architectural lighting and began working with a small lighting design firm in Irvine, California.  There she worked as an architectural lighting designer and was responsible for assisting and overseeing projects from initial design through completion, regularly making conceptual design presentations to clients and architects.

Her project focuses ranged from residential housing development, restaurant design, casino expansion, themed environments, retail, historic building, religious environment, hotel, exterior building façade and landscape.  She participated in projects such as Urth Caffe in Los Angeles, California; various Seminole Hard Rock Casino expansions and renovations for both the Tampa and Hollywood locations; and Everland Theme Park Harmonia Land expansion and its five attractions in Korea.

Kaitlin provides graphic design and rendering support in addition to her lighting design for STUDIOK1, enabling the studio to provide state-of-the-art visual presentations for our projects and marketing.
