February 13, 2012—STUDIOK1 and KONSORTUM1 have finished the California State University Northridge Student Recreation Center. Working with LPA, Inc., STUDIOK1 and KONSORTUM1 have designed lighting that reponds to the strong architectural statement that the building projects, while bringing the lighting power density to less than .6 watts per square foot. The project, with its LEED Gold registration and its clean elegance, typifies the holistic approach to lighting design of STUDIOK1 and KONSORTUM1.

February 13—STUDIOK1 has just completed the reimaging of Park Place, the enormous corporate campus in Irvine that houses CalTrans and Western Digital, among other large firms.  Working with Gensler on the interior atria and LPA, Inc. on the extensive site, STUDIOK1 helped to bring a new energy to the multi-million square foot facility.

February 13, 2012—STUDIOK1, working with architects Perkowitz+Ruth and The Irvine Company, have designed Island Cinema - a state-of-the-art movie experience that is also elegant and refined in sensibility, in keeping with the rest of Newport Beach’s Fashion Island.  Not only are the auditoria designed to be spectularly comfortable, they are lit entirely with energy-saving and maintenance-friendly LED lighting.

October 31, 2011—STUDIOK1 is working with landscape architect RJM and architect James Mickartz to revitalize the downtown of the City of Ontario, CA.  Central elements of the four acre urban park include a 60 foot tall clock tower and a bandshell.

October 31, 2011 - STUDIOK1 opened the new Laguna Niguel City Hall on October 15, 2011.  The $22 million facility of over 40,000 square feet includes offices, council chambers, a “History Walk” and an amphitheatre.  Working with the architects and landscape architects from LPA, Inc., STUDIOK1 established an aesthetic approach that reflects the community - quiet but with elegant gestures, and simple, clean lines.
